Ethiopian Airlines clears final hurdle for Dublin-LAX

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia - Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s largest by fleet and operations, has finalized preparations to start flights to Dublin and Los Angeles (LAX) starting from June 2015 writes JOHN SAMBO.
“Our new flights connecting Addis Ababa, Dublin and Los Angeles will play a critical role in the expansion of trade and tourism investment between the fast-growing continent of Africa, the United States and Ireland,” Ethiopian Airlines CEO Tewolde Gebremariam said in a statement last week.
He said, “In line with our Vision 2025 strategic roadmap, we are expanding our network and deploying the most technologically advanced aircraft as part of our commitment to our customers to provide them the best possible travel experience and connectivity options. “
Gebremariam said the route will be operated with the B787 Dreamliner and not long ago the airline took delivery of its tenth.
According to media reports in Dublin, the route was officially announced after Ethiopia negotiated with the government here for so-called “fifth freedom” rights in the nations’ bilateral aviation agreement.
Basically, such rights allow an airline to sell tickets for the portion of the flight between the stopover city and final destination of a one-stop route. At least one leg of the journey must begin or end in the carrier’s home country.
Dublin becomes the airline’s 11th European city and Los Angeles, its fourth point in the Americas. Ethiopian’s international network covers 85 destinations across five continents.
Gebremariam said,  “Our new flights will play a critical role in the expansion of trade, tourism investment between the fast growing continent of Africa, and the United States and Ireland. As the these flights will be the first and only direct air route linking Africa with Ireland and the West Coat of the US, they will bring these two seemingly far away cities much closer to Africa and will facilitate mobility and connectivity for businesses and the large African Diaspora community living in the West Coast of the United States.”

The supposed ‘miracle’ was performed by Daniel in Ga-Rankuwa, a town near Pretoria. The preacher “poured the liquid into a bucket and dropped a match inside, causing it to set alight.”
Afterwards, Pastor Daniel told his congregation that he had turned the petrol into fruit juice. Then, he encouraged the entire congregation to line up and take a sip from the bottle.
On the bizarre video from the Rabboni Centre Ministry, the followers gathered around the preacher and had a yellow liquid poured into their mouths.
Pastor Daniel preaches about faith in his congregation, saying “I want to prove to you, with the flames that will burn here, that it shows what can be achieved if you have faith.”

“What you see, you have to believe it,” he added, before drinking some of the liquid himself.
Reports were not available regarding what happened to the members of the congregation after they drank the liquid, which was actually petrol.
Watch the video here:It is not the first time that the controversial preacher made international headlines, as last January, he was photographed persuading followers to eat the grass at his ministry.
According to him, “humans with faith eat anything to feed their bodies and can survive on whatever they choose to eat, and persuading them to eat grass and drink petrol was simply a way of proving the point.”
As dangerous and outrageous the stunts may have been, Daniel’s congregation still claim it helped cure their various ailments. One woman from his congregation claimed that after eating grass, her sore throat was gone, while another said it healed her after a stroke.

“Yes, we eat grass and we’re proud of it because it demonstrates that, with God’s power, we can do anything,” shared by Rosemary Phetha when she was interviewed by local media.
Watch the “grass eating” stunt here:
However, the grass eating stunts failed to impress many, but instead created an outrage among netizens, as photos showed that followers who had eaten grass then allowed Pastor Daniel to walk across them as they spread out on the floor.

King Abdullah ibn Abdilaziz of Saudi Arabia has gifted his daughter a toilet made totally of gold for her wedding in one of the most equally bizarre and extravagant gifts ever, the India Today reports.
The Saudi royal family also reportedly spent $ 3,000,000 for the unnamed daughter’s wedding gown alone. In the photo below, the flamboyant and lavish dress was supposedly designed to make her look like a pyramid.
The groom, also unnamed, is reported to have seven wives already and a total of 16 children with other women.
In Saudi Arabia, it is known tradition for marrying women to receive gold and jewelries on special occasions, especially on their wedding. It is not only the family of the bride and the groom who are expected to give such kind of gift, but friends and relatives as well.
Gold and jewelries as dowries are seen as sort of an assurance for Saudi women in case the marriage turn sour. She can sell them and start a life of her own.
So, in the case of the King’s daughter, the father decided to reward her with a very unusual, if not awkward, golden toilet. The report did not mention the cost of gift but it could be millions, which is merely peanuts to the rich Saudi royal family.
King Abdullah is said to be one of the richest royals in the world. The Forbes estimated his family’s wealth to be around US $21 billion in 2011. The magazine also named him as one of the “Most Powerful People in the World”, ranking seventh in 2012. He is widely recognized as one of the most influential Muslims, among 500 Muslims, in the past 4 years.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 vs.Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Which one?

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Samsung Electronics' flagship phone, the big-boned Galaxy Note 4, goes on sale in the U.S. on Friday, following launches in several other markets, including China and Korea. Samsung's phone will take on some heavy competition from Apple Inc.'s iPhone 6, which has already sold more than 10 million units.

The Korean manufacturer plans to ship 15 million units of its of its new phone in the first month of release, which would be more than the manufacturer has ever shipped of a single device. And Apple is not the only competitor that will give Samsung a run for its money: Many manufacturers, including LG Electronics and Google Inc., are now embracing the phablet, which is a big change from past launches, when Samsung had the phablet market pretty much to itself.

Considering an upgrade to the Galaxy Note 4 when it comes out Friday? Here's what you need to know:

Display

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 includes a 5.7-inch high-resolution quad HD (2560 x 1440) display. With a pixel density of over 500 pixels per inch, it allows for sharper images and brighter, more true-to-life colors. The Galaxy Note 4 has the same screen size as its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 3, but is slightly longer, thicker and heavier in terms of overall dimensions.

Design

The Galaxy Note 4 is Samsung’s first premium device to feature a metal frame. Made of out aluminum and magnesium, Samsung markets the Galaxy Note 4 design as durable and stylish. The Galaxy Note 4 will be available in four colors: Charcoal black, Frost white, Blossom pink and Bronze gold, but only the black and white color options will be available at launch time. Various carriers and retailers will likely begin carrying the pink and gold color options a few months after launch. Often, Best Buy has the best availability of different colors.

Specifications

The Galaxy Note 4 contains a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor clocking in at 2.7 GHz. For memory, the phablet has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The battery is a fast-charging, removable 3,220mAh model. The device powers 3G and 4G (LTE) networks, and connectivity includes Wi-Fi, GPS and NFC. Similar to other devices in the Note series, the Galaxy Note 4 includes an S Pen stylus. Due to its metal frame, however, the Galaxy Note 4 is not dust- and water-resistant like the Samsung Galaxy S5 that launched earlier this year.

Software

The Galaxy Note 4 is powered by the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. Google Inc. is expected to release its new Android L operating system sometime in October, and the Galaxy Note 4 is expected to receive a system update with the new Android version in December. Recently, an Android L preview video surfaced, demonstrating the OS on a Galaxy S5 handset and how Samsung has updated its TouchWiz user interface in accordance with Android L.

The Galaxy Note 4 also includes new software features for its S Pen, including Smart Select, which allows users to select content from any text, screen or application and Photo Note, which allows users to put different content together as a single image. The multiwindow app on the Galaxy Note 4 was updated to allow users to search through recent apps and to allow users to view apps in a pop-up window while other apps run behind it. Software helping to work the Galaxy Note 4 includes its Adaptive fast-charging technology, which allows the device to charge 50 percent in 30 minutes. Its Ultra power-saving Mode allows the Galaxy Note 4 to maintain a 10 percent charge for 24 hours.

Camera

The Galaxy Note 4 includes a 16-megapixel camera, which includes image-stabilization technology, a feature long anticipated for Samsung phones that allows users to capture clear photos even when the handset is not perfectly steady. The Galaxy Note 4 camera also supports 8x digital zoom, another industry first, and includes a 3.7-megapixel front camera, perfect for taking selfies. The Galaxy Note 4 camera app includes features such as Rear-cam Selfie, which allows users to take selfies without having to press a shutter button, and Wide Selfie, which composites three photos together, similar to a panorama shot.

Special Features

The Galaxy Note 4 features an updated fingerprint sensor, which includes new functions such as fingerprint shortcut and Web sign-in. Fingerprint shortcut allows users to scan different fingers in order to open different applications at login. For example, a user could an index finger to launch the massager app and use a ring finger to launch the camera app. Web sign-in allows users to employ the fingerprint scanner to log in to websites in lieu of a user ID and password.

The Galaxy Note 4 also includes a new UV sensor, which measures ultraviolet radiation and recommends various methods of skin protection to its users.

Price and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be available at major carriers AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint and U.S. Cellular, and retailers such as Best Buy, Amazon, Costco and others. The Galaxy Note 4 will cost $299.99 with a two-year contract on most mobile carriers, but each carrier has its own retail price for the Galaxy Note 4. The device will cost $699.99 on Verizon, $720 on Sprint, $749.76 on T-Mobile, $770.16 on U.S. Cellular and $825.99 on AT&T. Samsung is offering those who preorder the Galaxy Note 4 by Oct. 16 (Oct. 22 for Verizon customers) the chance to trade in an old device for a guaranteed $200.

የምስራች አሸነፈን. Ethiopia Won

Bamako, Mali - The Ethiopian national team “Walias” achieved a surprising result here today when they beat Mali 3-2 to avenge their 2-0 defeat in Addis Ababa on Saturday.
It was Mali who scored first through Bakary Sako (32″), but the Walias responded with 2 quick goals of their own by Omed Oukri (36′) and Getaneh Kebede (45′).
The second half didn’t start well for the Walias as Getaneh Kebede was given his marching order (59″) to be followed by Mali equalizing in the 69th minute thanks to Mustaph Yattabare.
It was Abebaw Butako who scored the winning goal for Ethiopia in extra time

ሚኒሊክ ዘርጋባቸው:Menlik Zergabachew The Voice 2014

Menlik Zergabachew And Troy Ritchie Voice Battle Leads To Major Steal
eam Gwen Stefani contestants Menlik Zergabachew and Troy Ritchie faced off in an awesome battle on Tuesday’s “The Voice.” After a mentoring session with the No Doubt singer and her husband Gavin Rossdale, who served as a special guest adviser, the singers performed “Maneater” by Hall and Oates.

The dual performance was so great that all the coaches showered them with praise, and Stefani had a huge decision to make, as only one could stay on her team. After she eventually chose Ritchie, not one, but two coaches went in for the steal!

Adam Levine and Pharrell both wanted the eliminated Ethiopian singer Zergabachew to join his team. Zergabachew ultimately decided to go with Team Pharrell, explaining that he “said all the right things.”
