Malaysia Airlines tells victims’ families — via text message — of likely wreckage

Ear-shattering shrieks rang out at a Beijing hotel when relatives of 153 Chinese passengers aboard Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 learned all hope of finding them alive was gone. ‘Malaysia Airlines deeply regrets that we have to assume beyond any reasonable doubt that MH370 has been lost and that none on board survived,’ said a message texted to the families.

International Kungfu superstar Jackie Chan and nine members of his team including the Blive Global Initiative visited projects of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Ethiopia for three days.
On March 20, 2014, in the capital, Addis Ababa , Jackie Chan and his team were welcomed by State Minister of Agriculture of Ethiopia Mr. Mitiku Kassa and FAO Sub-regional Coordinator for Eastern Africa and Representative in Ethiopia to AU and ECA, Mr. Modibo Traoré.
The visitors were shown some of FAO projects in the country and held in-depth discussions with the beneficiaries, FAO staff and experts on the ground about the implementation of the projects, their impact and the need for long-term and sustainable development. 

FAO has long been working closely with the Ethiopian government to reduce hunger and achieve food security in the country. As an old Chinese saying goes, “teaching one to fish is better than giving him fish.” FAO provides technical assistance in agriculture and rural development, helping poor and food insecure people achieve food security and self-reliance, with remarkable achievements. 
Over the past three decades, Jackie Chan has been actively engaged in charity work while working on filmmaking. He has helped numerous disadvantaged groups around the world who suffered disease, hunger, poverty, natural disasters and the consequences of war. April 7, 2014 is his 60th birthday. He hopes to continue his work and to celebrate the big day with his friends.
World peace has always been the biggest wish of Jackie Chan. With this wish, Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation together with Blive Global Initiative Foundation, will invite non-profit organizations, media as well as superstars to launch a campaign-“Peace and Love Season – Feeding the World Initiative”.
FAO, as one of the beneficiary organizations of the Initiative, is ready to join forces with the two Foundations to fight against hunger. The campaign is a platform that will show good replicable practices of sustainable projects and to show small contributions can make a long lasting difference.
Meanwhile, Jackie Chan and his friends will also call for public involvement, in which La and Zy, two panda mascots will be passed in selected cities and universities. Public can interact with La and Zy along six routes (five in China and one abroad) to speak out everyone’s vision of “Peace and love”. “Peace and Love” campaign will begin when La and Zy arrive in Beijing.

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak announced Monday that missing plane Malaysia Flight 370 was last positioned over the southern Indian Ocean, in a remote area far from any possible landing sites.

"Using a type of analysis never before used in an investigation of this sort, [British analysts] have been able to shed more light on MH 370's flight path … its last position was in the middle of the Indian Ocean west of Perth[, Australia]," he said during a press conference.

"It is therefore with deep sadness and regret that I must inform you that according to this new data, flight MH 370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean."

Razak says that another press conference will be held on Tuesday to share additional details.

"Malaysian Airlines have already spoken to the families of the passengers and crew to inform them of this development. For them, the past few weeks have been heartbreaking. I know this news must be harder still," he said.

Wreckage from the plane was spotted by Chinese officials, who released satellite images on Saturday of objects measuring 72 feet by 43 feet in the southern Indian Ocean.

Many families still held out hope that their loved ones would return safely.

ለድራማው ቀረፃ ቤቷንና መኪናዋን በማቅረብ ተባብራ ስትሠራ የነበረችው ከሳሽ ወ/ሮ ብሥራት ድራማው ከተጀመረ ጀምሮ በፕሮዲዩሰርነት፣ በፋይናንስ አድሚኒስትሬሽን በወር አምስት ሺሕ ብር ተከፍሏትና ‹‹ናርዶስ›› የተባለችውን ገጸ ባሕሪ ወክላ ትሠራ እንደነበርም ለፍርድ ቤት ያቀረበችው ሰነድ ያብራራል፡፡

በመሆኑም በኃላፊነትም ሆነ በተዋናይነት እንዲሁም ከትርፍ ሊከፈላት የሚገባው ክፍያ ሳይፈጸምላት፣ ለጊዜው በግልጽ መግለጽ በማትፈልገው ምክንያት ከአንዱ ተከሳሽ ጋር አለመግባባት በመፈጠሩ፣ ከድራማው 54ኛ ክፍል ጀምሮ ‹‹ናርዶስ››ን ሆና ትተውንበት የነበረውን ገጸ ባህሪ መነጠቋን፣ ከ90ኛው ክፍል ጀምሮ ደግሞ ከፕሮዲዩሰርነቷ መሰረዟን በክሷ ለፍርድ ቤቱ አስረድታለች፡፡ ከድራማው 26ኛ ክፍል ጀምሮም የገቢ ክፍፍል እንዳልተፈጸመላት አክላለች፡፡

አቶ መስፍንና አቶ ሰለሞን ከተለያዩ ስፖንሰሮችና ከኢትዮጵያ ሬዲዮና ቴሌቪዥን ድርጅት መጠኑን ያላወቀችው ክፍያ እያሰባሰቡ ለግል ጥቅማቸው እያዋሉት መሆኑን፣ አቶ ዳንኤል የተባሉት ተከሳሽም የጥቅም ተጋሪ መሆናቸውን አስረድታ፣ 100 ሺሕ ብር በካሽ አዋጥታ ካቋቋመችው የድራማ መድረክ በዕውቀትና በዓይነት ከሰጠችው አገልግሎት በላይ ሞራል የሚነካ (ለኢትዮጵያ ሕዝብ ክብር ሲባል የማይገለጽ) ተግባር እንደተፈጸመባት በክሷ ዘርዝራ አቅርባለች፡፡

ከሳሽ ወ/ሮ ብሥራት ከቴሌቪዥን፣ ከማስታወቂያና ከስፖንሰሮች ከተሰበሰበውና የአገር ውስጥ ገቢ ተቀንሶ የሚደርሳት 16.25 በመቶ ድርሻዋ በወራት ተባዝቶ ከነወለዱ እንዲከፈላት፣ በፋይናንስና አድሚኒስትሬሽን ለሠራችበት በወር የሚከፈላትን አምስት ሺሕ ብር በ35 ወራት ተባዝቶ እንዲከፈላት፣ ‹‹ናርዶስ›› የምትባለውን ገጸ ባህሪ ወክላ ለተወነችበት 56 ክፍሎች በ500 ብር ታስቦ በድምሩ 163 ሺሕ ብር እንዲከፈላት ዳኝነት ጠይቃለች፡፡

የከሳሽን አቤቱታ ዝርዝር ማብራሪያ የተመለከተው የፌዴራል የመጀመሪያ ደረጃ ፍርድ ቤት ንፋስ ስልክ ላፍቶ ምድብ ሁለተኛ ፍትሐ ብሔር ችሎት በሰጠው ብይን፣ ከሳሽና ተጠሪዎች እያንዳንዳቸው አንድ ዳኛ እንዲመርጡ፣ የግራ ቀኙን ተከራካሪ የሚሰበስብ ዳኛ በጋራ እንዲመርጡና በሽምግልና ዳኝነት እንዲታይ የተወሰነ ቢሆንም፣ በአንድ ወር ውስጥ መምረጥ ባለመቻላቸው በፍርድ ቤቱ ሬጅስትራር በኩል የግልግል ዳኛ እንዲሾም አዞ ነበር፡፡

የግልግል ዳኞች በሁለቱ ወገኖች መካከል ያለውን አቤቱታ በመመርመር ላይ ቢሆኑም፣ ከሳሽ ወ/ሮ ብሥራት የግልግል ዳኝነቱ እስከሚጠናቀቅ ድረስ ከድራማው የሚገኘው ገቢ እንዲታገድላት ለግልግል ዳኞቹ ማመልከቻ በማቅረብዋ፣ የግልግል ዳኞቹ በፍትሐ ብሔር ሥነ ሥርዓት ሕግ ቁጥር 154 መሠረት ክርክሩ እልባት እስከሚያገኝ፣ ለተጠቀሱት ተከሳሾችም ሆነ ለሦስተኛ ወገን ምንም ዓይነት ክፍያ እንዳይፈጸም የኢትዮጵያ ሬዲዮና ቴሌቪዥንን ድርጅት ታዟል፡፡

Texas teacher gives birth to quintuplets at Dallas hospital

Steven and Michelle Seals of Maud, Tex., welcomed Mia, Tessa, Bryant, Gracie and Rayleigh into the world on Tuesday. The quintuplets are the first to be born at Baylor University Medical Center and weighed between 2 pounds, 7 ounces and 3 pounds, 6 ounces. Doctors say the tiny infants have ‘done remarkably well.’

የባለስልጣኑ ምክትል ዋና ዳይሬክተርና የኦፕሬሽን ዘርፍ ሃላፊ ኮማንደር አማኑኤል ረዳ እንደተናገሩት ዘጠኝ ሰአት ከ12 ጥሪ እንደደረሳቸው፣ በሁለት ደቂቃ ቦታው ላይ በመገኘት በሰላሳ ደቂቃ እሳቱን በቁጥጥር ስር ውሏል።

እሳቱ የተነሳው በድርጅቱ የወረቀት መጋዘን ሲሆን የቃጠሎው መንስኤ በመጣራት ላይ መሆኑን በንብረት ላይም ግምቱ ያልታወቀ ጉዳት መድረሱን ገልፀዋል።

በአደጋው አራት የእሳት አደጋ ሰራተኞች ላይ ቀላል ጉዳት አድርሷል።

አደጋውን ለመቆጣጠር አስር መኪናዎች በምልልስ የሰሩ ሲሆን ንብረቶችን በማንሳት አንዳንድ የማጣሪያ ስራዎች እየተከናወኑ እንደሚገኙ አስረድተዋል፡፡

ዋና ዳይሬክተሩ አያይዘውም በመስሪያ ቤቱ ሰራተኞች፣ በፌደራል እና በአዲስ አበባ ፖሊስ በኩል ለተደረገላቸው ከፍተኛ ድጋፍ ምስጋናቸውን አቅርበዋል።

የድርጅቱ ዋና ስራ አስፈጻሚ አቶ ተካ አባዲ በበኩላቸው በ9 ሰዓት ገደማ የተነሳው እሳት ምክንያት ምን እንደሆነ አሁን ለመናገር ቢያስቸግርም ምናልባት እሳት ወይም መብራት ሊሆን እንደሚችል ግምታቸውን አስቀምጠዋል።

በአደጋው በመስሪያ ቤቱ ሰራተኞች ላይ አንድ ከባድና አንድ ቀላል  አደጋ ደርሷል።

እሳት የተነሳበት ጊዜያዊ የድርጅቱ መጋዘን ላይ  ሲሆን ዋናውና ትልቁ መጋዘን በሌላ ቦታ ይገኛል።

The Addis Ababa and Oromia Integrated Development Plan Project Office has drafted a plan for a grand airport to be built on the western outskirts of Addis Ababa in the Oromia special zone.
Reports indicate that the airport forms part of a new metropolitan capital master plan that includes the relocation of the Bole International Airport, one of the major hubs on the continent.
Fetuma Lemessa, Deputy Manager of the Addis Ababa and The Surrounding Oromia Integrated Development Plan Project Office, told Capital FM that Teji, about 30km west of Addis Ababa on the road to Jimma, is the proposed site for the location of the new airport.
The project office had been working on refining the new master plan for the past year, reports indicate.

The proposed plan, which work will commence on in a year, replaces the ten-year old master plan for Addis Ababa and incorporates several new details.
Reports indicate that the growth in air traffic at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport prompted the Ethiopian Airport Enterprise to plan on building a new international airport between the towns of Mojo and Meki on the road to Hawassa, about 90km southeast of Addis.
The Ethiopian Airport Enterprise had reportedly been conducting a study on the establishment of a new international airport for some time.
When the major expansion project at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport was drafted in the early 1990s, it was assumed that the airport would adequately accommodate air traffic easily up until 2017. However, the airport reached its maximum capacity in 2010, hence, the need to venture into the construction of a new international airport.
According to the master plan, the new airport’s location was favored for several reasons, including the fact that it is relatively close to the capital than the original planned location.
Officials have disclosed that the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport will be used for regional and domestic flights, VIP flights and other general aviation services. “The new airport is expected to accommodate long-haul international flights,” he said.
According to information obtained from the Public Relations Department of Ethiopian Airlines, Addis Ababa Bole International Airport currently accommodates an average of 800 departures per week.
The capacity of Ethiopian Airlines is also growing swiftly in terms of the number of airplanes and destinations. The national flag carrier currently operates 58 airplanes providing services to 72 destinations, of which 45 are in Africa

የሩሲያ ጦር ለዩክሬን ወታደሮች የክሪምያን አውሮፕላን ማርፊያ ለቀው እንዲወጡ የመጨረሻ ማስጠንቀቂያ የሰጡ  ሲሆን የሰሜን አትላንቲክ ቃል ኪዳን አገሮች (NATO) አባላት የሩሲያው ፕሬዜዳንት በዚህ አያያዙ ከቀጠለ ሌሎችንም በአጠገቡ ያሉትን አገሮች እንዳይጎርሳቸው ሁሉም አባላት አገሮች ለመረዳዳት ውል ፈርመዋል። የህንን ውል ተግባራዊ ለማድርግ እና የሩሲያ አጎራባች አገሮች ከፍራቻ ለማውጣት የአሜሪካው ምክትል ፕሬ ዜዳንት ጆ ባይድን (Joe Biden) ወደ አውሮፓ ጉዞ አድርገው ነበር። ከአፍጋኒስታን ጦርነት በሗላ ብዙም ስራ ያላገኘው የኔቶ ሰራዊት አሁን ገና የሚያጣድፍ ስራ አገኘን ብሎ ወድ ሩሲያ ድንብር እየተጠጋ ሲሆን እንደ አንድ የኔቶ ጄኔራል የሩሲያው መሪ ልክ የመንደር አስቸጋሪ ጎረምሳ (Bully) ነው በማልት በፌዝ ሲናገሩ በአንፃሩ ደግሞ ፕሬዜዳንት ፑተን የኔቶን ወደ ራሽያ ድንበር ጠጋ ጠጋ ማለት ትንሽ ቅሬታ አስምቷቸዋል። ይህ ሁኔታ በዚህ ከቀጠለ ፑተን የድሮ የሩሲያ ግዛት አግሮችን ዋጥ ስልቅጥ ያደርጋቸዋል የሚልው ስጋት አሜሪካንና ሌሎችንም የአለም መንግስታትን አስግቷል። ይህ በዚህ እንዳለ የኢራን መንግስት ከእንጨት የተሰራ (እንሱ ነው ያሉት) ልክ የአሜሪካን ጦር ተሸካሚ መርከብ (Navy’s Nimitz-class carriers)በመስራት ላይ መሆኗን አንድ ሪፖርት በሳተላይት አየሁ ብሎ አስታወቀ። እንደ ዘገባው ይህ የውሸት የጦር ተሽካሚ መርከብ ሆን ብሎ በአሜሪካ ላይ ለማሾፍ ተብሎ የተስራ ነው ብሏል። ይህ ሁኔታ በዚህ ከቀጠለ ሶስተኛው የአለም ጦርነት ዋዜማ ላይ ያለን ይመስለኛል። ለሁሉም ያቅለው! የአሜሪካው ትልቁ ሱፐር ማርኬት ወልማርት (Walmart) ተፎካካሪዎችን ለመጣል ባለው ጽኑ ውሳኔ ላይ በመቀጥል ሴቪንግ ካቸር (Saving Catcher) ወይም ቁጠባ ማጥመጃ የሚባለውን ፕሮግራም ጀመሯል።

የአሜሪካው ትልቁ ሱፐር ማርኬት ወልማርት ( Walmart ) ተፎካካሪዎችን ለመጣል ባለው ጽኑ ውሳኔ ላይ በመቀጥል ሴቪንግ ካቸር  (Saving Catcher) ወይም ቁጠባ ማጥመጃ የሚባለውን ፕሮግራም ጀመሯል።በዚህ ፕሮግራም ለምሳሌ እርስዎ የሆን እቃ ሌላ ሱቅ ገዝተው ከሆነ እና ወልማርት ያ እቃ በርካሽ ካለው የገዙበትን ደረሰኝ በማሳየት ለዩነቱን ነጥብ ይሰጥዎታል። በዚያ ነጥብም ከወልማት እቃ ለምግዛት ይችላሉ
Wal-Mart told The Associated Press that it has rolled out an online tool that allows shoppers to compare its prices on 80,000 food and household products to those of its competitors. The world’s largest retailer began offering the feature that’s called “Savings Catcher” on its website late last month in seven big markets that include Dallas, San Diego and Atlanta.


The move by Wal-Mart, which has a long history of undercutting competitors, could change the way people shop and how other retailers price their merchandise. After all, Americans already increasingly are searching for the lowest prices on their tablets and smartphones while in checkout aisles.
Shoppers do this so often that big retailers that include behemoths such as Target and Best Buy have started offering to match the lower prices of rivals — but only if shoppers do the research on their own. The idea behind Wal-Mart’s online feature, on the other hand, is to do the legwork for customers.
