The message of this poem is very powerful and timeless. It is teaching us we need to give credit when credit is needed. We can not take all the credit alone and ignore others and dismay their contribution even they are part of our success. Sometimes ignorant people think they are the only person on earth can do things by their own by ignoring the fact with out other people's contribution and effort they are just like a lanterns light with out glass it will be blown away by a wind in split of second. Teach for your kids about the importance of this poem. I read it when I was a child and the message is still embedded in my brain. What a wonderful poem by poet Kebede Micheal. Bravo.
