1. Manchester City vs. Liverpool: Monday, August 25, 3 p.m. ET (NBCSN)
With
the kickoff to the 2014 English Premier League season just four weeks
away, NBC Sports released coverage plans on Wednesday, complete with
scheduled broadcasts for the first three months of the campaign.
The 2014-15 season's first kick will come on August 16,
seeing Swansea City visit Old Trafford at 7:45 a.m. ET. A complete list
of the remaining 129 fixtures (via NBC Sports)
are listed below. But rather than sort through such lengthy text, here
are the top five early-season Premier League fixtures that should
immediately be circled on your calendar.

1. Manchester City vs. Liverpool: Monday, August 25, 3 p.m. ET (NBCSN)
The top two clubs from the 2013 season first collide just
nine days into the new campaign. Liverpool's inability to close out
their remaining fixtures saw Manchester City capture the league title by
a mere two points. The Reds will look to claim what they believe is
rightfully theirs at Etihad Stadium on Aug. 25.
2. Manchester City vs. Manchester United: Sunday, November 2, 8:30 a.m. ET (NBCSN)
The next chapter of the Manchester Derby is ready to be
written. Each of the last three league titles have resided in
Manchester, with the Citizens bookmarking a pair outside of Manchester
United's last. The rivalry picks up where it left off on Nov. 2.
3. Liverpool vs. Chelsea: Saturday, November 8, 7:45 a.m. ET (NBCSN)
The last time Chelsea visited Anfield, the club was able to
capture a stingy 2-0 victory. Steven Gerrard's iconic stumble still
haunts the Kop, ultimately costing the Reds their first league title in
24 years. The first opportunity for redemption comes on Nov. 8.
4. Chelsea vs. Arsenal: Sunday, October 5, 9:05 a.m. ET (NBCSN)
Two of the biggest offseason spenders will be on display at
Stamford Bridge. Other than the newly acquired talent of the
aforementioned Sanchez, Chelsea's Cesc Fabregas, Luis Filipe and Diego
Costa will also be gracing the pitch on Oct. 5.
5. Arsenal vs. Tottenham: Saturday, September 27, 12:30 p.m. ET (NBCSN)
The North London derby has added an extra bit of spice with
Arsenal's acquisition of Alexi Sanchez. The native Chilean has plied
his trade the last few seasons in Barcelona, but will look to introduce
himself to one of England's premier rivalries on Sept. 27.
