April 18 Deadline for Individuals
The deadline for filing Form 1040 individual tax returns is April 18, 2022. Form 4868 may be filed to extend the due date until October 17, however, that does not extend the time to pay any tax due. Extensions and payments must also be filed by the April 18 deadline to be considered timely.
