African Languages Master Database
A unified list of languages spoken anywhere on the African continent (more than 54 modern states, thousands of languages). We do NOT divide Africa by political borders. Area names are descriptive only (ex: “Horn of Africa”, “Sahel belt”, “Southern Africa cities”) to avoid political claims. Global/colonial/administrative languages (English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic) are included because people in Africa actually use them for government, courts, education, passports, media, banking, migration, etc.
