According to ESAT (Ethiopian Satellite TV) Teddy Afro (Tewodros Kasashun) has been banned from leaving his country Ethiopia and his passport has been confiscated by security officials at Addis Ababa  Bole International Airport prior to his departure to his first leg of  European music tour to Helsink . According to ESAT Teddy was heading to Helsinki, Finland for his  live performance on December 6. 2014. Teddy Afro official  Facebook pages shows his band's arrival in Helsinki but no information about Teddy Afro.

Ethiopia Set To Issue First Eurobond As Roadshow Ends

Ethiopia is planning to issue its first Eurobond tomorrow after finishing off an investor road show in New York today, and will become the second-poorest country on record to tap the international debt market.

Ravenous demand for higher-yielding debt has encouraged a slew of countries previously shut out of international bond markets to issue securities for the first time – including Rwanda, Senegal, Azerbaijan and Zambia.

Even countries with (very) patchy history of repaying creditors – like Ecuador and Greece – have been welcomed back.

Ethiopia is one of the poorest countries in the world, with a gross domestic product per capita of just $1,240 (adjusting for PPP) according to the World Bank. A successful issue would make it the second-poorest country ever to tap the international bond market, after the Republic of Congo in 2007.

However, the International Monetary Fund predicts that the country’s economy will be the eighth-fastest growing in the world this year.

The deal will have a 10-year maturity, and orders for the debut are already being placed with the banks, JPMorgan and Deutsche Bank.

The country’s maiden bond has been rated B1 by Moody’s, deep into the “junk” range of ratings,

Man accused of murdering D.C. corrections official was 'angry at the world'

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WJLA) - New details emerged during a court hearing Monday in the case of an Alexandria man accused of killing a high-ranking District of Columbia corrections official. Dawit Seyoum, 29, is charged with first-degree murder in the September killing of 64-year-old Carolyn Cross, the deputy director of operations for the Department of Corrections, in her Alexandria apartment. Police said Seyoum, who lived across the street from Cross, confessed during a series of interviews with detectives following his arrest. In court Monday, a detective testified that Seyoum told him that he hit the victim twice with a socket wrench and then put a plastic bag over her head and sealed it with duct tape. As for a motive in the attack, police said Seyoum told them he heard voices and was "angry at work, angry at the world." Authorities said the two did not know each other previously, but Seyoum told police he had seen Cross on previous occasions. Police testified that Seyoum returned to his own apartment following the killing, and hours later attempted suicide by slashing his wrists with a razor. Investigators found the statement "I was the dirty one" written in blood on his bathroom wall. Outside court after the hearing, public defender Melinda Douglas said it was too early to say if Seyoum might pursue an insanity defense.
