ሳንድያጎን (San Diego) በአካልም ሆን በምስል ላያችሁት ውበቷ ወደር የሌለው ቆንጆ ከተማ ነው። የተፈጥሮ ቁንጅናዋ ከተለያዩ ከተሞች ለመጎብኘትም ሆን ለማዬት የመጡትን ቋሚ ነዋሪ አድርጎ በማስቀረት የታወቀች ከተማ ናት። ሳንድያጎ በሁለት ይከፈላል አንዱ ሳንድያጎ አውራጃ ወይም ካውንቲ (county) የሚሉት ሲሆን ሌለው ደግሞ ሳንድያጎ ከተማ (city) ናት። ሳንድያጎን ካውንቲ ወይም አውራጃ ከአራት ሚሊዮን ህዝብ በላይ የሚኖርበት ትልቅ አውራጃ ነው። ሳንድያጎ ከተማ ደግሞ በውበቷ አሉ ከሚባሉ ከተሞች ውስጥ አንዷ ስትሆን ደረቷን ለሰላማዊ (Pacific Ocean) ውቅያኖስ አጋልጣ የተቀመጠች ባህ ዳር ላይ ያለች ከተማ ናት። ሳንድያጎ ከተማ ለመስፋት ያላት እድል በጣም ጠባብ ነው። ወደ ደቡብ (south) እንዳይሰፋ የሜክሲኮ አገር አለ, ወደ ምእራብ (west) እንዳይሰፋ ደግሞ የሰላማዊ ውቅንያኖስ አለ ስለዚህ ህዝቡ ያለው አማራጭ ወደ ሰሜን እና ወደ ሰሜን ምስራቅ ነው። ከሳንድያጎ ከተማ ወጣ በተባለ ቁጥር ደግሞ  በጣም ትቅጥቅ ያለ በተራሮች የተከበበ ጫካ ነው። አብዛኛው ጫካ በህግ እንዳይቆረጥ የተጠበቀ  ደን ነው። ይህ  አርንጓዴ  ደን በቂ ዝናብ ሲያገኝ ለከተማው ውበት ነው ፣ ግን በዚህ አመት  በአለም ደረጃ በተፈጠረው የአለም የአየር ንብረት መናጋት (Global Worming)  ሳንድያጎም ሆነ ካሊፎርንያ ውስጥ በቂ ዝናብ ስላልነበር ያሁሉ ደን ልክ እንድ ጭራሮ ደርቆ ትንሽ እሳት ነው የሚጠብቀው። ታዲያ አንዱን ትንሽ እሳት ሲንካው ሌላው እንደ ጭድ ይጋያል። የሚገርመው ህዝቡ ያለበትን ቦታ ስለሚወደው ዛሬ ቢቃጠል እንኳ ነገ ሌላ አዲስ ቤት ይገነባል። ሳንድያጎ ያላት የአየር መጠን ወይም ሁኔታ ከኢትዮጵያ ጋር ስለሚምሳስል ብዙዎች ይወዱታል። በጣም ከባዱ ኑሮ ውድ መሆኑ ብቻ ነው።

ታዲያ አብዛኛአ አብሻ የሚኖረው ከከተማው መሃል ስለሆንና ከተማው ውስጥ ብዙ ደን ስለሌለ እስካሁን ሁሉም ስላም ነው። ከከተማ ወጣ ብለው የሚኖሩትንም እየደወልን ጥይቀናል እስካሁን ሰላም ነው። ግን በሌሎች ነዋሪዎች ላይ ከባድ አደጋ ደርሷል።

Well, if European colonist  found Bahir Dar they would make it heaven on earth  just for them, but thank you God they did not put their hand on it. They might tried  for several times but thank you for the brave Ethiopian men and women they get chance.  Bahir Dar is pure Ethiopian treasure. If you visit Bahir  Dar you will immediately  fall in love with it. I have seen lots of places in the world, most of hem they may look beautiful out side but they are ugly inside.  Most so called beautiful places are islands in ocean where the water is salty and undrinkable, available just to swim   Some are way very expensive, only  the rich and famous  with money can enjoy them. But in Bahir Dar you will enjoy your day even you do not have  enough money . It has a natural beauty not altered by too many make-ups. Hawaii, Bahamas and other top destinations may be great but each of them have their own nightmares like earth quake, Tsunami, Hurricane and so on, but in Bahir Dar life is  easy and beautiful all the time.

NEW DELHI: In what could have been an extremely worrying incident had the flight already been boarded, an Ethiopian Airlines plane was dragged several feet during a squall that swept IGI Airport on Saturday evening. The Boeing 737 hit a parked steel ladder, damaging its radar system.

The incident was reported at 7pm when a squall with wind speed of 85kmph hit the airport. "The aircraft, with registration number ETAPK, was parked at bay R-04 of the international terminal. The plane was shifted back by 15-20 feet in the cross winds. This should not have happened as parked aircraft are usually held by stoppers at their wheels to ensure that they do not move. The directorate general of civil aviation has ordered an inquiry into the incident," said an airport source.

Sources said that when the plane moved, it hit a ladder that was lying next to it. "The top of the ladder crashed into the aircraft and damaged the radar system. The airline had to arrange another flight," they said.

The flight would have operated as ET 687 from Delhi to Addis Ababa with a scheduled departure of 3.10am. The airline had to divert a Shanghai flight which finally took off at 6.05am with 268 passengers on board.

DGCA director Ravi Krishna and the director safety are expected to inspect the site on Monday. The airline is also carrying out an inspection.

Sources said, "It could have been an extremely dangerous situation had the aircraft been boarded or if there was some personnel next to it. Such strong winds have been experienced at the airport even in the past but a stray aircraft like the Boeing could have hit against anything," said sources.
