የከተራ በዓል በመላው የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋህዶ እምነት ተከታዮች ዘንድ ዛሬ ይከበራል

የከተራ በዓል በዛሬው ዕለት በመላው የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋህዶ ቤተክርስቲያን እምነት ተከታዮች ዘንድ ይከበራል።

በመላ ሀገሪቱ ታቦታት ከአድባራት ወጥተው በካህናት፣ በዲያቆናት እና በምዕመናን ታጅበው ወደ ጥምቀተ ባህሩ ይወርዳሉ።

ታቦታት ወደ ማደሪያቸው ጥምቀተ ባህር ከደረሱ በኋላም አዳራቸውን በዚያው የሚያደርጉ ሲሆን በካህናትና ዲያቆናት ዝማሬና ሌሎች ሃይማኖታዊ ስነ-ስርዓቶች ይከወናሉ።

በማግስቱ ደግሞ የጥምቀት በዓል በተለያዩ ሃይማኖታዊ ስርዓቶች የሚከበር ይሆናል።

በዓሉ በአዲስ አበባ በጃን ሜዳ በአቅራቢያ የሚገኙ አድባራትና ገዳማት ታቦታት የጥምቀት በዓልን በጋራ የሚያከብሩ ሲሆን በጎንደር ከተማም ከአድባራትና ገዳማት ጉዞ በመጀመር ታቦታቱ ምሽት ላይ ጃን ሜዳ የሚያድሩ ይሆናል።

በዘንድሮ የከተራና የጥምቀት በዓል ላይ “ወደ ሀገር ቤት” ሀገራዊ ጥሪን ተቀብለው የመጡ ኢትዮጵያውያንና ትውልደ ኢትዮጵያውያን በብዛት የሚታደሙበት ይሆናል ተብሎ ይጠበቃል።

የከተራና የጥምቀት በዓላት በክርስትና እምነት ተከታዮች ዘንድ ከሚከበሩ ሃይማኖታዊና የአደባባይ በዓላት መካከል ይጠቀሳሉ።

ወደ ጥንታዊቷና ታሪካዊቷ ጎንደር ከተማ በብሔራዊ ደረጃ የሚከበረውን የከተራ እና ጥምቀት በዓል ለመታደም ወደ ከተማዋ ለሚጓዙ ደንበኞቹ ክብረ ወሰን ሆኖ የተመዘገበ 22 በረራ ማድረጉን የኢትዮጵያ አየር መንገድ ማስታወቁም ይታወሳል።

 The Feast of Tabernacles is celebrated today by the followers of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church.
